The Hinton and District SPCA is always in need of volunteers.
Volunteers are asked to fill out a volunteer form so that we can best match up your abilities with our needs. We also ask that volunteers sign in, this information is used for matching grant money and for Workmen's Compensation coverage.
Do you have a particular skill or something you enjoy doing? Do you like to organize? Clean? Do windows? Please contact us as we can use those skills as well as many others.
Dog walkers - Times 11-1 and 6:30-8:30 daily, drop in. No experience necessary, must be over 18 or with someone who is over 18. The dogs may not be taken off leash unless in a securely fenced area.
Cat cuddlers - Times 11-1 and 6:30-8:30 daily, drop in. No experience necessary, must be over 18 or with someone who is over 18.
Bottle sorters - Time flexible, training provided.

The Dog Eared Books and More!
Come and check out our used book store! Most books are a $1.00 per book, Harlequin, Sihloette and Signal romance novels are 20 for $1.00 (we have lots) and children and young reader books are .20 cents each. Donations of used books, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles and gently used pets supplies are welcome! All proceeds go to support the SPCA. Come and see what we have to offer and support a great cause!

The Hinton SPCA is open daily from 9-1 and 6:30-8:30. Appointments for dog viewing can be arranged by calling 780.865.2800. As we currently have a large number of pets our staff is extremely busy so if your call is not picked up please leave a message and our staff will return your call.

Got Empties?
We are collecting empties (pop cans, bottles, juice boxes, milk cartons, etc.). If you don't want to sit in line at the bottle depot please donate them to the SPCA. Just drop them at the shelter at 209 Kelley Road in the kennel marked empties on the west side of the parking lot. We will do the rest!
Arrangements can be made to pick up large loads by calling Cathy at 780.817.1075.
All the proceeds go to support the animals in our care.
